The plan will be implemented in 100 selected mosques across Egypt, according to youm7.com website.

It is aimed at raising awareness about the rights of children, the ministry said.

It added that the lessons offered in the plan will include religious, social, historical, literary and psychological subjects.

There will also be a number of story-writing and arts workshops for the participating children.

A large number of imams and preachers as well as writers and experts will contribute to the implementation of the plan.

Children aged 6 to 9 and 9 to 14 can sign up to take part in the classes, the ministry said.

They will be held in compliance with the health protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
